Two-Day Industrial Tour to Bangalore
A group of 50 students from Bharathidhasanar Matric Higher Secondary School recently embarked on an exciting and educational two-day industrial tour to Bangalore, organized by BCTLABS STEM Academy. This well-curated tour was designed to offer students immersive, real-world exposure to science, technology, and innovation across premier institutions and museums.

Day 1: Visit to ISRO – U R Rao Satellite Center
The highlight of the tour was a visit to the U R Rao Satellite Centre (URSC), the satellite design and development wing of ISRO. Students explored the process of building, testing, and launching satellites used in communication, Earth observation, and interplanetary missions. Interactions with ISRO scientists gave students a deeper understanding of India’s space programs like Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, and Gaganyaan, while instilling pride and inspiration to pursue careers in aerospace and technology.

Day 2: Exploring HAL Aerospace Museum
On the second day, the students visited the HAL Heritage Centre and Aerospace Museum, where they learned about the evolution of aviation in India. The museum showcased aircraft models, jet engines, flight simulators, and displays about aeronautical technologies. Students witnessed how India's defense and civil aviation sectors have advanced over the decades, offering them a close-up look at aerodynamics and aircraft mechanics.

Interactive Learning at Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum
The final stop was the renowned Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, a treasure trove of interactive science exhibits. Students engaged with hands-on displays related to physics, robotics, space, electronics, and mechanics. The museum fostered scientific curiosity and encouraged students to explore STEM concepts beyond the classroom in a fun and engaging environment.

Bridging the Gap Between Theory and Practice
Throughout the tour, students were guided by the expert team from BCTLABS STEM Academy, who facilitated discussions, explained technical concepts, and ensured an enriching learning experience. The tour served as a practical extension of the STEM curriculum, helping students visualize theoretical knowledge in real-world applications.
